Join our Team as a Sales Associate
Harriman Clothing Co - Harriman, NY 10926
Work with fabulous clients as a key sales associate in a diverse boutique, helping women of all ages shop for wardrobes for day to evening taking on the role as a personal shopper.
Hours Required - Saturday 9:30-5, Sunday 11-4, and 3 days during the week 10 am to 7 pm
Responsibilities
Acts in the best interest of the customer & delivers above and beyond service through effective selling techniques that achieve sales and especially repeat business. * Develops and maintains relationships with clients of various ages and income as their personal shopper / stylist for single events or seasonal wardrobe investments. And be capable of adapting their selling style as necessary to the audience * Develop product knowledge by learning the merchandise features, advantages and benefits
Maintains a visually enticing store that is neat clean and organized through merchandising and refreshing displays * Understand all systems and procedures relating to sales transactions in store and online.
Provides timely and constructive feedback to fellow associates as well as receives feedback in an open and receptive manner * Takes ownership of continual self training and development * Participates in store meetings, provides feedback and helps develop creative solutions to challenges and supports new initiatives
Prioritizes workload to maximize efficiency and minimize impact on customer experience * Maintains a healthy work environment for team and interfaces with all in a manner that promotes learning and mutual respectJob Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job * Three to Five Years strong sales experience preferred
An understanding of fashion, fabric, design and/or merchandising is preferred * Engaging personality
Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively in order to relay product knowledge and services
Computer skills, Use of Social Media, Email Campaigns, Edit of Pictures
Physical requirements: lift /carry/move 40 lbs minimum including fixtures and product. Standing for periods of time. Stairs. Ladders.
